We’ll be sharing our scholarship submissions as they come in and are excited today to share with you Sophia.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I am a grade 12 student working at a project based learning school. My senior thesis project focuses on natural dyes and the profound connection between nature and art and how art can help us mend our relationship with the natural world. I surround myself with art - it’s my passion it always has been!
Where can people find more of you?
I have an art instagram account @robins_watercolours & I also sell my art at the Winnipeg first Fridays and I’m involved in many art organizations eg. Forum Art Centre, Martha St, Art City.
What does creativity look like to you?
It’s an expression & it’s a conversation! It’s another form of communication.
What are you currently working on?
I’m experimenting with prints, natural dyes and ink’s however my main medium is watercolour.

What draws you to Camp Rover Conference? What is it about community - this flock - that beguiles you?
The diversity - so many different forms of art.
