Meet Donavan & Lindsey of Pop CoLab - Camp Rover Conference 2024 Sponsor

We are ready to rediscover the power of play with Pop CoLab. They offer workshops, retail, games, DIY, and more! We are very excited to have them sponsor the craft corner for Camp Rover Conference 2024.

Here’s a little more about Donavan Robinson (He/Him) & Lindsey Canato (She/Her) of Pop CoLab through a little get-to-know Our Sponsors interview.

What is the hardest part about what you do?

Organizing all the ideas and focusing on the tasks that are needed to move forward but still keeping it fun!

What is the all-time dream part of your job? The thing you still pinch yourself that you get to do? And, tell the people how often you actually get to do it.

Discover and learn; when a project is completed, it is amazing to see where it started and where it ended up.

If you could tell your Day 1 starting-a-biz-self one thing what would it be?

Find people who can do the things you don't do well and understand your strengths. Try to focus on your strengths and delegate your weaknesses.

Someone wants to get into opening a store front. What advice - from an expert - would have saved you a lot of time, sweat, and tears?

From an overall business perspective, you should make sure you are managing finances well. However, from a creative perspective, failures and successes are all learning processes that sometimes are better experiences than not.

Fun fact about you or your biz?

POP in Winnipeg merges the dynamics of work and play, creating a unique space for creative minds, and those facing unique barriers. It serves as an ideal "third space" for companies looking for a neutral, inclusive setting where employees can unwind and engage informally, separate from work and home, or maybe test out a new side gig. This environment cultivates relaxation and creativity, fostering a community vibe that supports innovation and teamwork. It's a place to play, offering fresh experiences and through a dedicated retail section we are spotlighting local artisans and entrepreneurs. POP endorses a playful culture that builds community and teamwork, enhancing productivity and supporting mental health in the workplace. In essence, play is more than an activity—it's an essential avenue for exploration and innovation.
